OverBruggen is een poëtische boottour / hedendaagse bungee-dansvoorstelling over de spanning tussen vrijheid en verbondenheid in het kader van Alkmaar Ontzet 450 Jaar.
Een reis per boot en te voet. Door verleden, heden en toekomst, met de historische bruggen van Alkmaar als inspiratie en decor. Uitmondend in de culturele speelplaats HAL25.
Choreograaf Helen Pokrovska:
"My father’s parents are Russian, my mother’s parents live in Ukraine. So suddenly half of the family: my grandparents, aunts, cousins were in the war zone when Russia attacked Ukraine. This project is my reflection on how to connect two sides of seemingly contradictory ideas or parts of land, with a past so long gone and such a demanding future. How to be free to choose the right path but still be attached to your roots."
LET OP: Voor de soundscape heb je je eigen mobiele telefoon met koptelefoon (oortjes) nodig. Voorafgaand aan de voorstelling download je thuis de playlist - hierover krijg je een mail met link en uitleg. Er is keuze tussen Nederlands en Engels.

OverBruggen (Bridging)
Do the connections to the place where you live give you freedom or do they also bind you? How do you bridge differences in times of conflict?
OverBruggen / Bridging is a poetic boattour / contemporary bungee-dance performance about the tensions between freedom and connection. A journey by boat and by foot that jumps through past, present and future, with the historical bridges of Alkmaar as inspiration and decor. Culminating in a show in the cultural playground HAL25. This production is part of the celebration of 450 years since the Alkmaar victory over the Spanish army in the Eighty Years' War.
